Catching up on postingTyler & Mike going for a spin between Hood Canal houses & post office on Thanksgiving Day.
A nice game of Quiddler after dinner. More Thanksgiving posts can be seen by Elena, Pam, and Rebekah.
Joe found this carved stump on the beach.
I'm saving the best for last.... Wesley got to leave the hospital on the evening of Sunday, November 30th. Jeff & Jenny were in the process of having a new furnace and tankless hot water tank installed so they went home to Steve & Paula's for a few days. What a treat for all of us. Joe & I have been camped out over at Jeff's parents nearly nightly and during the day. It's so nice that they live so close to us. They have a lovely bedroom on the ground floor with changing table, Moses bed for Wes, and Jenny has a lovely "Command Station" complete with glider chair, lights, etc. in the laundry room for pumping. I got to feed Wesley a bottle and change a diaper on Monday - many more to come I'm sure. Thanks Steve & Paula. Pictured above are Paula and Jenny.
The best Christmas gift ever! Wesley James Gough!

Daddy, Pépé, & Wes Around noon today, Pépé got to see Wesley for the 1st time. He had been on a business trip in France. He thinks Wesley is awesome and can hardly wait until he too grows a moustache.

My second time holding him. He's so darn cute!

Starbuck's Salted Carmel Hot Chocolate

Jenny introduced me to this drink - I don't even care that much for hot chocolate, but I find myself craving this one. As Jenny says, order a "short", which leaves you wanting for more - a regular is just too much.

and I just love the internet; I found this recipe:

Starbucks Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Copycat Recipe

2/3 cup whole milk
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup sugar
3 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
3 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
1 tablespoon turbinado sugar crystals
1/4 cup whipped cream
2 tablespoons caramel syrup, divided

Bring the milk and cream to a simmer. Keep it just under a boil and stir in the chocolate until melted completely.
Add one tablespoon of the caramel syrup to a warm mug and swish it to coat the inside of the mug.
Carefully pour in the chocolate. Top with whipped cream, add a drizzle of caramel, a sprinkle of the salt and a dusting of the turbinado crystals.
Enjoy the fact that while Starbucks *may* stop making this delicacy you never have to!

Jenny's in Labor! yet makes it to Gough Family Shower !!!

That's right, Jenny starting having contractions last night and went to the hospital last night for about 5 hours. They gave her 2 shots to slow down the contractions. At the shower she was still having contractions about every 7 minutes. I hope Wesley stays inside his mother for a few more days or weeks, but he may arrive earlier than expected to bless our lives.

Jenny's sister-in-laws comforting her:
Lovely Advent calendar made by Rebekah; plus Trophy Cupcakes. We all wrote inspiring words of wisdom (hopefully) for each day:Paula Gough (standing right) She really did a lovely job with the shower, as did Auntie Sass & Aunt Rhoda:Soon to be parents. We love you!

A Grateful November 10 on 10

8am morning walk - I always think of my terrific relatives named Nichols who live in Hawaii
This is still in a yard that we passed by on our morning walk.

Even though it's 10 on 10, the house needed cleaning - steam mopping, the only way to mop - this one is from Costco, of course!

Received an afternoon call to book a flight to Paris for my husband for THIS Friday. Done!

An abundance of houses for sale in the neighborhood, Here's a lovely house for sale.

Jenny (& Wes) drop by to return some borrowed items.

I love Nordstrom sales, especially SHOES!

and an eggnog latte before heading home...
